My Sister's Special Day

Everyone Should Have A Sister - or Two!

I'm Lucky Enough to Have One!

Even though we are 7 years and 2 months apart (yes-I'm the older and wiser sister!Hee!) we have been BEST friends for years!

We shared a bedroom and a bed - and would stay up late (much to mom's chagrin) talking. I don't regret one late night and an almost impossible to get out of bed morning. It is because of this...that our relationship is strong.

It wasn't always this strong! There have been trials that have tested our friendship but never our LOVE.

Like, me going to COLLEGE and leaving her home alone with 5 brothers, three scary incidents and ALL the HOUSEHOLD chores.

Or, my first wedding day...ENOUGH said.

My DIVORCE...MORE enough said.

With these trials came a GREATER appreciation for EACH other and how SISTERS must stick together!

We have had JOYS!

Having our BOYS only 8 days apart. And through distance these two cousins are the BEST of friends. Just like there MOMS!

Watching your DAUGHTER be born! Wow - that is on my top 10 list!

Still wanting to TALK and share our lives...as often as our lives ALLOW!

So to you on this SPECIAL 30th Day - I Love You, I Applaud You, I Cherish You and am Grateful to call you SISTER!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY - SIS!!

Katie's primary teachers - Sis. Wilkins and Sis. Winsor

Grandad, Rachel and Katie

Grandma, Rachel and Katie

Katie with her bestest friends, Olivia, Jamiyson, Kaitlyn, Katie and McKenna
**Several months ago when discussing with Katie whether or not she wanted to have her baptism in her ward in Queen Creek or in Phoenix she told me she couldn't decide because she wanted her friends Olivia, Jamiyson and Kaitlyn to come to her baptism but she didn't think they would come to Queen Creek. I told her that I bet if we asked-they would come! And they did!! ALL IS WELL!

The family sadly without Ron or Jacob. Ron whose taking the picture and Jacob who wouldn't be in the picture. (Although if you look really closely he's hiding in the tree!!)

Before and After...

My SWEET little Katie was baptized in Queen Creek, Arizona.

On October 25, 2008 at 4 p.m.

It was a beautiful day - the weather has been warm.

Her Grandad and Grandma Jarvis arrive at 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon. They fly into the airport 6 minutes from our house - SWEET!

We make it a special day - doing GIRLY stuff.

The Beautiful Particulars

* 8 pounds 1 ounce of baby girl was born on October 23 at 10:18 p.m.

* Upon arrival you shocked everyone when you came with LOTS of brown curly hair and dark skin. (The dark skin came from the cord being wrapped around your neck!)

* After mom shed a few tears of joy, it is discovered that you have very long skinny fingers and a cute button nose.

* You couldn't wait to come into this world, you arrived after only 3.5 hours of labor. (A clear winner in this household!)

* After arriving in our room at 1:45 a.m., mom and I fell asleep together - both exhausted!

* Mom writes in her journal, "We snuggled and I thought she was an angel for letting me sleep! We spent most of our time together in the hospital alone and I thought it was so special!"

* We arrived home 2 days later on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

YOU WERE A GIFT!

Happy Birthday - Rachie!!

Honoring Rachel

It was my beautiful Rachel Marie's
10th birthday yesterday...

TREATS making everything better!

TODAY is one of those days you dislike...
Christopher and Rachel had to go to COURT to meet with a counselor.
Why so much stress at such a YOUNG age?
I wish they DIDN't have to go...but since they did
They deserve a treat!!

Rachel wanted a BROWNIE OBSESSION from TGIFriday's and Christopher, of course wanted MEAT!

Christopher lives off MEAT! No potatoes, no veggies, no fruit...nothing but meat!
So we went to TGIFriday's and pigged out on CHOCOLATE...CHEESEBURGERS...FRENCH FRIES...and ICE CREAM!!

Living Without Family

I have a GREAT family!
The problem is...I don't live by any of them!
If I'm lucky I get to see them once a year...TWICE if I'm super lucky!

But this week I get a SURPRISE!!
TWO of them get to visit me!!
My FAVORITE sister...Donna! (Okay she is my only sister...but she's still my favorite!)
And my MOM! (My dad is coming with my mom...but it is rare to have a picture with just me, my mom and my sister! I mean REALLY rare!)
So I'm feeling LUCKY today!
Just wanted to SHARE!

Memories Never Gone

The promise of life for me began when I met this man… Ronald James Flewellen.
During a dark year…where living life took on a meaning I hope to never return too…where getting out of bed, eating a meal, walking, breathing took every ounce of effort.
During that same dark year…I found a LIGHT!
He found the same LIGHT…a hope for a bright future…a promise of a greater tomorrow…and a promise of LOVE!
We found a song that became our song “God Bless The Broken Road…that led me straight to you!” by Rascal Flats.
He promised me on our wedding day that he would sing that song to me…he didn’t break his promise!
The other night we shared another one of those promises of love…when he whisked me away on the dance floor to sing to me!
Music provided by San Tan Flats…and my man … Ronald James Flewellen.

His does not relent and encourages his mom that he wants to visit "Jacob".
She gives in - drives the 11 hours to let Cade visit Jacob!

A Day Off!

I Love it When Ron has a day off!
Ron is the happiest you will ever see him on his day off!!
AWAKE - 6:00 a.m. hootin and hollerin (we have to say words like that-he is a redneck, remember?) and thoughts of fishin' running through his head! Nope - troller motor isn't fixed!

BREAKFAST - 6:05 a.m. which is about 5 minutes later than he would like - he sure loves his FOOD!

KIDS LEAVE FOR SCHOOL: 8:30 a.m. time to party

JANA MEETS CLIENT: 9:30 a.m. in which Ron happily obliges to drive me there just so he can spend every part of his day off with ME! He spends time with Jacob at the park down the street-he is good that way!

JANA and RON both get shots: 11 a.m. Mine in the hiney and his in his arms! He won't look at mine anymore when he saw how BIG the needle is and Jacob hides in the corner with his hand covering his face! Scaredy cats this is a piece of cake!
(Jacob got trigger happy with the camera while waiting at the doctor's office -thought he did a pretty good job shooting this picture even if I don't have makeup on!)

LUNCH: 12:30 p.m. Rumbi's - one of Jana's favorite which is a little too foofy for Ron but he loves me enough to pull across 3 lanes of traffic just so I can have a "Rumbi fix".

WEEKLY COSTCO TRIP: 2 p.m. - I take a detour in the store to look at pajama's for the kids - for some reason I LOVE kids' pajamas. Ron is stuck with Jacob who starts yelling! He call and in his nice, sweet, loving voice wants to know where I am! Frustrated? Probably!-I find the boys' - kiss him and all is better! He is such a sweetie that way!

T.V. TIME: 3 p.m. - One hour before the kids get home we begin our snuggle time and start to watch "Dancing with the Stars". He doesn't last but ten minutes! Snooring is now his passion.

NAP TIME: 3:10 p.m. - He's soooo cute when he is sleeping!

KIDS HOME: 4:05 p.m. - Life goes crazy-kids start going in every direction. Girls to Activity Days', Chris to his favorite spot (computer to play video games) and Ron and Jacob to do yard work!

YARD WORK: 4:10 p.m. - Have you seen our yard? It may be small but it is groomed well!! I say it should be in BETTER HOMES and GARDEN! Good job, honey!!

DINNER: 6:15 p.m. Well this is a little later than usual as Jana decides to slice her finger again on the POTATO slicer! Dang that slicer-it's going straight into the trash! Ron doesn't even pass out at the sight of blood and lovingly nurses my finger back to good health!

SCOUTS: 6:30 p.m. - Ron is GREAT with the scouts. Seriously this guy loves these boys!!

KIDS BEDTIME: 8:00 p.m. - I originally was going to post about my love of pajama's and tried to take pictures of Jacob and Katie's new jammies but as you can see-the kids just want to play around with Ron. He is such a kid himself that he can't help but start the tickling process himself! See how happy he is??

OUR BEDTIME: 9:30 p.m. - Yes it may sound early but we are old and besides I can't finish this part!! HEE!

RON'S DAY OFF - ABSOLUTE BLISS!
Can we do this tomorrow?!?

Decorator - possibly...maybe...ok not!

But it is a passion!!!
I LIKE to decorate!
When I have money I REALLY like to decorate!

I even sewed my first valance--like the one in the picture above!
(okay I know it is small-but it is a start! Hee!)

And I give my rooms name's - "Like Old Tyme Cinema" and make a CINEMA wall!

And I love to decorate bathroom's--I know this is weird but there is just something about sitting down to do your business in a nice bathroom, right?

Latest project--Cameron's room and for now guest bedroom!
(I'm soooo regretting I never took a BEFORE picture-but for those of you who saw Cameron's old bedroom--you know this is a huge improvement! No dirty clothes, anywhere!)

My darling husband's response to my decorating--
"Honey, when are you going to be done?"
Funny, huh?
