Summer Project to do list...

Can't believe that one week of
SUMMER BREAK
has already gone by!

With my kids getting older
and the summer's getting hotter...
(okay well they are always scorching hot but it just feels that way)
I have labeled
SUMMER
as our
"we finally don't have homework, activities, projects, ballgames...
we can finally breathe...
now it's time to catch up on everything that fell apart during those whirlwind days of school."
So I've put my kids to WORK this week and I feel like we actually
accomplished something!

Summer Project To Do List:
Week 1--Project 1
Organize and Clean Mom and Ron's closet
(Okay this was mostly my job!)

Please don't judge...but yes I have an extra shoe rack than Ron!
Girls just NEED more shoes!

I love organization and even though it sounds a little ridiculous...
all my hangers are white and all my clothes are organized by color!
Yikes...you found out about my OCD!
Project #2:
Clean out food pantry
    Pantry cleaned!
This was one of the worst projects...
with school lunches being prepared every morning
and last minute dinners prepared...
it had gotten crazy!
Looks good now...thanks girls!
Project #3
Laundry Room
   Laundry room started!
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
my drying rack from Ballard Design!
With a very small laundry room I had very little room to hang up wet clothes...
problem solved with this rack!
I also had Ron hang my clothes pins (decorative) and I finally found a place to put our ironing board and iron!
(We are just getting started with decorating this room but I needed it organized before I could start!)
My sweet hubby did all this for me...love ya babe!
Project #4:
Finish Jacob's bedroom

This project seems to be never-ending for me but we are almost finished and even though
Jacob "hates" it all...
we love it!
I finally did his chalk art...
painted the finials for his bed...
and found the cutest vintage fan for the top of his dresser.
The only thing we have left is to frame out the two small windows above his bed to match the large window we already completed.
(Roman shades would be cool too!)
Project #5:
A Clean House

I pretty much did this...
I had the house to myself tonight and I love to find peace not just in the quiet...
but in a clean and organized home.
Project #6 and #7:
Katie organized our game cupboard and my sweet hubby came home from a 10-hour shift to install new
master bath sink fixtures
as well as new hooks for our towels.
(We are in the VERY preliminary stage of redoing our master bathroom so once I have it more together I will share a picture.)

Even though I feel like we have accomplished so much this week,
I know that summer will go by fast with all the
sports, cheer and church camps, family vacations and work.
And much to my families dismay...
my summer to do list is very
LONG!
*****************************************
I did get to take time out for a much needed break to go to the temple with our Young Women this morning.
These sweet girls woke up at 3:30 a.m.
Now that is dedication!
It's my second week in a row to go to the temple...
Last week I stayed inside the temple
for a really long time because the thought of facing life
outside was just too painful...
this week I found a spring to my step...
because going to the temple regularly helps me do that!
